The Quake 3 demo and morons
I can't believe people are whining that id Software won't let them produce mods (modifications) for the Quake III Test program. Hello? This is a public beta test, you idiots! The only reason they gave it away for free is so you can report bugs to them so they can fix it. If you start mucking around with it, you're not doing them any good. Makes it hard to report legitimate errors when they're all caused by your brainless changes. I don't understand what these people think they can change, considering they don't have the dll source code.

id Software gave you something for free and you're bitching about what they won't let you do with it? Grow the fuck up!

The Matrix has you
We saw Matrix last night. A pretty kick-ass movie. Don't expect a lot of character development (this is, after all, Keanu Reaves we're talking about), but the special effects and action really carried this movie. I'll probably go see it again.

Gunslinger Quake 2
It's been about a week since I started working on Gunslinger Quake2. The idea is to replace the guns with old west style weapons and provide a little more realistic physics and logic (as well as secondary fire modes). The weapon logic for the primary mode of the first five weapons (bowie knife, revolver, pair of revolvers, double-barrel shotgun, and pump-action shotgun) is finished, and there are some place-holder models to make things look a little less weird. Next I'll be working on some models, the logic for the other five weapons (hatchet, molatov cocktail, lever-action rifle, Sharps single-shot rifle, and cannon), and secondary firing modes.

Bill, meet the Constitution
President Clinton said today: "I have learned again an enormous amount of respect for our Constitution, our framers and for the American people."

Am I the only one who is frightened that it took a Senate impeachment trial to teach Mr. Clinton a respect for the Constitution, our nation's founding fonders, and Clinton's boss, the citizens of the United States?

The bigger question is whether or not Clinton considers the Bill of Rights to be a part of the Constitution that he respects.
