TADS 2 (the Text Adventure Development System version 2) is an
near-general purpose language specifically tailored to the creation of
text adventures (interactive fiction). With a powerful, pre-built
parser (which translates the player's instructions) and object
management framework, using a game language such as TADS makes IF
creation quite a bit simpler.
