This Sunday will be a special Sunday in the life of Peace Church. There will be NO 8:30 service this week. Coffee will be available under the breezeway starting at 9:30, and FBS classes will begin at 9:45. Everyone is invited to a single service at 11am for the installation of our new senior pastor, Rev. Cole McLaughlin, followed by a light lunch to welcome Cole and his family in the Fellowship Hall.

Senior High Bible study will continue to meet on Monday's at the Fisher's from 7-9. Rising 9th graders to graduating seniors (and their friends) are invited. The group is studying the book of Hosea. |

We have implemented the new Child Protection Policy, but we still need more volunteers. If you have already submitted an application to volunteer, please complete the online training. If you haven't submitted an application yet and would like to volunteer, please contact team@peacepca.org As a result, you will get the required information. We also need Teenage Workers. The teenage application is available on the Peace website at peacepca.org under "resources". Those applications can be downloaded and turned into the church office when completed. Please go ahead and make the decision today to volunteer. |

 We will be collecting cleats, shoes, children's and adult summer weight clothes for the Puerta de Esperanza Store. You can put your donations in the box in the admin hallway. NO tee shirts please. The team also needs individual packets of Gatoraid. Thanks so much for all your support.

FUN WITH WORDS, a creative experience for young writers, will happen on Tuesdays in Room C 202 beginning September 10 (11:30 until 12:45) for 10 weeks, finishing on November 12 . 8 through 12-year-olds will enjoy learning to write stories, poems and articles. A guest musician joins us for one session, and the final class will be an Authors' Tea featuring students reading their best work for parents and friends. Cost for the class is $125.00---with a $10.00 discount for registration before September 1---and includes all supplies.Sibling discounts are also offered. Back-to-School Supply Drive for Needy Children
Many Wake County children are in great need of school supplies for the new year. The Natale Family is collecting these supplies the next 2 Sunday's (Aug. 4th, and Aug. 11). You'll find a donation box near the nursery entrance or if you would like to send a check instead you can make it out to: "Friends of Wake GAL" ( www.friendsofwakeGAL.org) and mail to P.O. Box 4941, Cary NC 27519. TAX-FREE WEEKEND is this weekend! Please consider thinking of those kids in need and donating to the Back-To-School Supply Drive!
Dorcas Ministries has a new training center at Cary Plaza, 187 High House Road, Cary that has a full slate of classes to help folks become more self-sufficient.
We are a JobLink site and offer job readiness counseling Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm.
The Food Pantry at Dorcas Ministries
(CCA) is very busy this summer, with children home from school. Their supplies of dried beans and Hamburger Helper (given with ground turkey) are out. They also need spagetti sauce. If you can help, please bring these items to the Christian Community in Action (Dorcas) box in the Admin. hall. Thank you.
