: Guess what? I got capture the flag and its suffering like matrix and gs. I've discovered the computer's are sendin LOADS of packets to each other and reaching ridiculous amount like 4000 host-to-client packs and 700 client-to-server packs. On all the above mods. this normal?

: That kind of traffic sounds fairly normal to me. Of course, I have no idea what sort of network you're using. If you're running Quake II installing some sort of TCP/IP protocol on the systems. IPX is a very noisy, unrouteable protocol that can cause laggy performance and over IPX, you should really think about connection timeouts all by itself.

: Install the TCP/IP protocol, then assign each machine an IP address (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 would work fine) and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Then they'll be able to communicate via TCP/IP.

: Also, it'd really help if you'd identify yourself on here. Otherwise no one can tell if it's 'you' posting, or someone else that hasn't typed their name in.

: LouZiffer

Sorry about the name. I dont want to give out my name. Cause im not allowed. The IPX you are talking about seems really poor. Mine works great. BUT ive connected the two by serial cable. I sure hope that doesnt count.
