It MIGHT be tcp/ip compatibable, just ive got hexen2 and it wont multiplayer in tcp/ip. Wrong idea, i suppose. In a whizz at computer's, exepct clearly not at networking Does tcp/ip mean world web acess? I dont have a clue.

TCP/IP is a network protocol your systems use to talk to each other (just like IPX... only TCP/IP works much better). If you're using Windows 95 or Windows 98, go into Control Panel, Double-click on Network, Click "Add", select protocol and click "OK", select Microsoft on the left, then select TCP/IP Protocol on the right, and add the protocol (providing the CD when it's asked for).

After rebooting, go back into "network" and double-click on the TCP/IP Protocol, use 192.168.1.1 as your IP Address and 255.255.255.0 as your subnet mask (nothing else is needed). Make sure your other system is configured for 192.168.1.2 as its IP address and has the same subnet mask. Once that's done, both systems should work with TCP/IP.

I'm assuming both systems are hooked up to a network of some sort.
