Rations
Military rations, "Meals Ready to Eat (MRE)", are nutritious, but often considered barely palatable. Each ration is a sealed package containing specially prepared meat and vegetables. A box of rations contains 12 meals, enough food for 1 person to eat for 4 days. Each meal consists of an entree, dessert, drink mix, plus condiments and utensils.

Water purifier
This device is a simple hand-operated pump with a carbon/iodine-resin filter designed to catch impurities while killing harmful bacteria and viruses. A water filter can purify 1 liter of water a minute.

Survival kit
Contains a collapsible cup, knife, fork, spoon, waterproof strike-anywhere matches, multi-purpose tool (one blade, nail file, scissors, bottle opener, can opener, awl, and corkscrew), water purification tablets, wire saw, needle and thread, flint, signaling mirror, 3 candles, micro flashlight, compass, whistle, and a 3 meter roll of duct tape. The container itself can be used as a plate and bowl.

Two-Man tent
A small nylon dome tent designed to sleep two people. Collapsed, it fits into a roll about 70 cm (2 feet, 4 inches) long and 20 cm (8 inches) in diameter. When pitched, the tent is hexagonal in shape, measuring 2 meters (6 feet, 6 inches) from wall to wall and 1.5 meters (5 feet) high at the apex, with an entrance way 61 cm (2 feet) wide and 1 meter high (3 feet, 3 inches).

Six-Man tent

Compass
The compass is a small, round plastic or aluminum case that houses a small magnetized needle. The needle indicates that direction to magnetic north, but can be disrupted by other magnetic or electrical fields and also by large iron metal deposits or iron in close proximity.

Sleeping bag
Zips up the side and will fit one person comfortably, keeping them warm in temperatures as low as 20° below zero Farenheit (-30° C). Also waterproof. A pair of sleeping bags can be zipped together to form a larger bag with room for two people. Rolls up to fit within a nylon carrying bag.

Gas mask
This unit covers the entire head and consists of a clear plastic face shield and a set of highly effective filters that eliminate the respiratory effects of gas-based weapons and smoke. Some of these weapons, such as poisons, bio weapons, and tear gas, may still have an effect on contact with skin.

Goggles
These are simply clear plastic shields for the eyes. They will keep water, smoke, and tear gas out of the eyes, but offer no protection from breathing any of these things.

Fire suit
A highly insulated full-body outfit, a fire suit has a very reflective (mirror-like) exterior surface to deflect away the strong infra-red energy of a fire. Fire suits come with their own oxygen supply, enough for 1 hour of breathing, and can sustain a person in temperatures up to 1000° Farenheit (500° C).

NBC suit
The Nuclear-Biological-Chemical suit affords complete, full-body protection from radiation, harmful germs, and poisons. The skin of the suit is a lined, rubberized material with gloves and boots. It utilizes a high strength filter to block out the dangerous contaminants.

Deep Sea Diving suit
This is a strong metal or carbon fiber shell designed to withstand the extreme pressures of deep sea diving. The joints are articulated to allow some degree of movement. The suit itself can handle depths down to 1000m (about 3300 feet).
