[6.3] Ammunition
Without ammunition, conventional firearms are little more
than expensive blocks of steel, rubber, and plastic. In the same manner,
archery tools and support weapons are also useless without a supply of
ammo.
[6.3.1] Conventional Handgun and Rifle: These cartridges use a single charge of gunpowder to propel a bullet at great speeds. [6.3.2] Shotgun: Large diameter shotshells work in the same manner as handgun and rifle ammo, but fire shot (pellets) or slugs. [6.3.3] Archery: Weapons of this type fire long rigid shafts with fins at the base to stabilize them in flight. [6.3.4] Support Weapon: Ammunition for these weapons consists of launched or rocket-powered explosive charges. [6.3.5] Magazines: A large number of firearms use magazines to hold and feed their ammunition. This section also covers speedloaders.
