[4.3] Ranged AttacksFor every attack, a player determines their Attack Score:
The modifiers are based upon the situation surrounding combat: range, lighting conditions, the movements of both target and attacker. These modifiers are discussed in Section 4.3.2: Modifiers. An Attack Score total over zero indicates a hit. Look up the Attack Score on the Attack Score Table, and compute the total damage based on the weapon's base damage, and any modifiers listed on the table. Additionally, you can also determine the location of the hit by rolling on one of the Hit Location Table, but this is an optional rule.
